Rankin Todd Champions 2015
On a challenging day at Balcomie Links, where teams from throughout Fife gathered for the annual team event, Team Lundie came out as victors! Seeing off the local favourites in an early round, 54 holes later Team Lundie - consisting of Grant McNab, Kevin Blyth, Greg Wishart and Ritchie Brown - came away champions with the famous Fife trophy and with no better man qualified to sample the delights of filling a trophy than Mr McNab pictured below sipping the first taste of victory! Well done to all the Lundin members who took part especially the winning team!
Saturday saw the September Medal played in windy but warm weather. After a countback, Andrew Johnston (76) pipped David Imrie (69) to victory, some great scores and a few handicap alterations saw the end to a good day's golf.
Winner of the Ritchie Veterans Trophy which was also played within Saturday's Medal was John Campbell (79) and the Gilchrist Memorial being won by Mike Marshall (85). For Mike this was just a warm up for the four club competition due in a couple of weeks!
With only a week to go until the draw for The Battle of Britain Glenbrae scarf, please feel free to enter the charity draw which is located in the pro shop for a very limited edition piece, a great cause on this an anniversary year.
We are due to take delivery of some very tidy Oakley autumn golf wear this week adding to the already delivered Galvin Green and the due Oscar Jacobson, be sure to swing by for a browse.
Please note that there has been and will be some work taking place over the next few weeks within the village both on the main road and Links Road. The works consist of these ridiculous things they call speed bumps that actually cause damage to your car as well as a 20mph speed restriction on the main strip of Lundin Links, be sure to read the signs and give yourself a few extra minutes for your tee-time just incase!!!
