Summer Meeting

Well it's been a while but at last we had a competition without wind!! On what was a fantastic day for scoring, Cammy Mitchel returned an excellent scratch 65 (-1) to be pipped to the post with nett 65 by Graham Brown with a 70 (5). I hope you all enjoyed the added bonus of a free sleeve of Srixon balls, we tried where possible to give you all a ball you should use relative to your handicap and ball flight opposed to the normal ball you'd tend to buy, we welcome feedback from you all to see how successful we were!! 

There were three no shows on Saturday in key tee-times, so a gentle reminder to everyone to check either via the online service or by simply calling us here in the shop should you be unsure whether or not you entered!! I'll not name and shame but you've been blacklisted!!!!




Golf Monthly - This month's Golf Monthly has a great article on Lundie, if you get a chance have a read there are various copies lying about the clubhouse.

East of Scotland - Just a little reminder that due to this weekend's East Of Scotland Amateur Championship, the course will be closed on both Saturday and Sunday resulting in no member play. Once a year and the forecast isn't great so get the wellies out and do a bit of gardening!!

Lundin junior makes the squad - I'm happy to announce that junior member Stewart Philp has been selected by Fife Golfing Association to represent them against The Lothians later this month in their nine-man team at Pumphersone. Sam Nicholson and Callum Giffen have also been selected with both boys having home clubs elsewhere but great to see Lundie players in the squad. Good luck, lads!!

Fife Schools Championship - Steven Paterson golfed his way to victory last Monday in the above held at Balwerie Golf Club, Kirkcaldy, with an excellent scratch 75 winning by two shots. A great week for junior golf and a welcomed boost! Well done all and keep up the good work as we approach school summer break.




Fraser was away at the end of last week attempting to qualify for a doubles event being played at Carden Park, Cheshire, in August. I can happily confirm that both him and his partner, Julie Otto from Elie Links, were successful after a four-hole play-off. I'd like to take this opportunity to wish him well and rest assured I'll keep you all update.
