Championship Week 

I'd firstly like to take this opportunity to wish all those taking part in this weekend's Club Championship qualifiers the best of luck in their quest to become champion elect 2015!!! I too am away from Saturday on tour so may be a little scarce but I can assure you all that Fraser and Amy will look after you all in my absence.

The course is in absolutely fantastic condition so credit must go to Willie and his team, and with the forecast looking good I look forward to regular updates from Fraser as the week progresses. There is a fair-to-midland chance I may be back sooner than planned dependant on the standard of my golf, however as I mentioned above I wish all great success!

Check your club diaries to ensure you are available for the matchplay ties, all rounds in all events are clearly marked and will take place most evenings leading up to and including Sunday of next week commencing Monday 11th.

Birkmyre Open

Last Saturday saw some of our members generate great success on what was a challenging but dry day. Greg Forrester and Greg Wishart both carded scratch 72 (+1) where on this occasion Forrester came out on top with a cheeky little birdie at 18 to take the title on a countback! Murdo MacLeod also took the honours in the handicap section with junior member Stewart Philp close on his tail with another great score pulling his handicap down another shot to six. Well done to all who took part and congratulations on your success.

Shop News

The shop continues to strive to stock products to suit your needs and we always welcome feedback from everyone, so should there be something you feel we don't have please let us know. Crazy it may sound but I start my spring/summer buying for 2016 this month so feel free to pop me an email here or swing by the shop to discuss any improvements you feel we could add!!!

We took delivery of some new club crested balls this week and whilst I appreciate the colours within the crest are not official, they are however colours that work with not only balls but clothing and a change that you will see has now taken place on pretty much all the crested product we now stock.

The newletter is short this week as I wish you all to concentrate on your golf with such a great event taking place at the weekend, the pinnacle event of every Golf Club!!
