The club's Burns Supper night on Friday, 23 January is now fully booked so I am afraid that if you've not book your ticket yet you've missed out on a great night!

Winter Course Works

Over recent weeks, Willie and his team have been doing some gorse removal around various areas of the course. Last week was the turn of the area behind the first green. There are various reasons for the removal of these bushes with rabbit control and growth management being the two key factors. In the early days of the course, this type of bush never existed and it is surprising how much better it actually looks with these now having been removed.

Until such times that these areas fully recovered, there are two drop zones in operation: one located beside the lower tee of hole two and one beside the high tee for hole two on the left side of the first green.

Various bunkers have also seen some maintenance over recent weeks and some great work that always adds to the appearance of the course.

A light covering of snow on Sunday saw the course close (pictured above) and with cold temperatures forecasted please check with us here in the Pro Shop if you are unsure of the course conditions before leaving the house. Alternatively, you can check the club's website www.lundingolfclub.co.uk under course status as advised a few weeks ago.
