With the golf course, pro shop and clubhouse shut, for the time being, we’ve tried to get a little creative with our weekly emails. Here’s what you can expect each week: - A weekly challenge to attempt
- Golf at home tips and drills to try
- Our weekly quiz to see who has the biggest golf brain among you
- Video of the week
Hopefully, this will provide you with a bit of light-hearted fun during a difficult time for us all.

We came across a lockdown calendar last week and it revealed some highly amusing answers for the team, so we wanted to get you involved too! All you need to do is match your birth date and your birth month with the answers given and you’ll create a brilliant lockdown scenario, like these: Baking with Rory McIlroy Cleaning your car with Fred Couples Taking your bins out with Tiger Woods It’s a little bit of fun whilst the majority of us find ourselves at home, so click the link below to take part. Don’t forget to email us your scenarios at the end! View lockdown calendar here.

Here we are a little over a week since lockdown! All is well in the Walker household! No fall outs yet, I've inherited the tag of "headmaster" I'm not sure I'm a huge fan of this home schooling lark, however needs must and all seems to be good! So far! Karen for those of you who are not aware is front line during this trying time as she's a Pharmacy Dispenser, in short 'she deals drugs' The positive of that being it's just Rian and myself during the day! Yippee! |

One week in and the shed has had two coats, the fence has all been dealt with and we've even managed to get the grass under control, all the jobs I just love to hate. We've managed a 3 - 4 mile walk each afternoon, my biggest concern so far is the glass of wine before dinner, I'm trying not to get used to it! Stewart is well, we speak regularly, like me believe it or not we do both miss the daily banter, let's hope it's not too long until it returns! The Edinburgh lad decided to stay in Fife, a wise man, hard to beat gods country even during difficult times!

WE WERE HERE 151 YEARS AGO AND WE'LL BE HERE IN ANOTHER 150!

Willie and the team have downsized a little adhering to guidelines supplied by BIGGA and the government, dealing with only essential works, the greens obviously take priority, tees and fairways follow, isn't it just typical that the weather has improved immensely now we are officially in spring and we can't get out to play, let's hope growth rates don't get too drastic for now! I had to nip in to the shop for a short while on Monday, yes it was essential that I had to make the trip before you ask!!! Unfortunately my financial year end exercise still needs to take place! |
| WHAT A VIEW |

The course looked simply incredible, the sun shining down, the greens striped and the view over the desolate beach breathtaking! Safe to say we'll be ready to hit the ground running when we eventually get through this!! Gives us something to look forward to! |
The Annual subscriptions are scheduled to go out this week so Mandy and Alistair are on the case, I can hear many comments regarding this very subject and all I can say is 'support your club'. The captain informs me there has been/will be a slight alteration to the normal deadline day, let's all get behind this great club during Covid-19 to ensure we remain at the top! Many facilities I believe will struggle to see the other side of this pandemic, let's ensure Lundie does! |
Something new for our readers
Us golfers are competitive at heart, so we thought we'd try to harness some of that spirit by introducing a new feature to our weekly emails. We're going to kick things off next week with our very own Masters Quiz - it was supposed to be Masters week after all - so be sure to do some research before then! For now, we have put up a short poll on our website that we'd love you to answer by clicking the button below. We'll let you know the results next week. |
