Course news

Weathering the storm

It has to be said that we are lucky to have greenkeepers dedicated as much as Willie and the team. Day in day out, wind, rain or storm the team is out there doing their best to make sure the course is up to the standard you all expect of Lundie.

As Storm Ciara was in full flow I decided to take a trip out onto the course and see exactly what the team go through and what they have been up to during such sever spells of weather. Some excellent bunker renovations on holes 1, 3, 10 and even the mowers have been out giving the greens a trim.

Competition results

Eclectic

The yellow warning forecast wasn’t enough to stop our dedicated winter golfers who look for success in the Eclectic. Strong winds and spells of rain saw more challenging conditions however scoring was still exceptionally well considering the conditions.

Taking the top spot was Gary Wilson on 37, followed by a large pack on 36 and 35 respectfully. Another week where magic twos were few and far between with only 5 recorded, each player with the lucky number received a healthy £26.40.
