Winter Eclectic
Saturday saw the first of our winter eclectics, 78 players in round one was a great effort especially after Friday night’s presentation dinner and a big congratulations to Dave Green Jnr and Jim Curley both carding 39 points to lead the board with round two scheduled for this coming Saturday.
Please note that other than holes 2 and 7 at present mats are not to be used in the competition until January.
Twos were a plenty only returning £7.68 for the lucky number, nineteen in total didn’t help!

Mat Areas
The course, as usual, has held up well with the heavy rainfall. Fairways two and seven now have an area marked where mats are required, these mats are on the holes listed and play MUST be from a mat in this area to assist with the protection of these fairways which do take a hammering over the season.
As normal the fairway mats become compulsory in early January and we will update you nearer the time.

Presentation Dinner
I believe a good night was had last Friday at the Annual Presentation; great food, a great speaker and plenty drink I heard was the call of the evening. I also hear The Railway Pub took a battering once proceedings were finished, I dare say that contributed to the sore heads on Saturday! |
Scottish Tourism Week
As you are all aware Alistair and myself were at The Fairmont for the annual Golf Tourism Week, we had some great meetings with potential clients that we hope can drive some business our way in 2020, we also met with operators we currently use and the feedback was great!
Thursday evening saw us attend the Gala Dinner along with the Captain, but unfortunately, this year saw us come home again empty-handed!
The more I see who wins these awards the more I’m starting to think it could be a fix!

It's Cold Outside
This week has seen some terrific winter products arrive with club crest, gilets, jackets and sweats.
As I type a large box of lined sweaters is about to be opened and if memory serves me right there should be some essential snoods in-amongst!
Swing by for a browse, we are here from 8am.
