Welcome to this week's newsletter keeping you up-to-date with everything Lundie. Enjoy the read. |
October Medal
Saturday saw the October Medal take place and although initially, the forecast looked a little suspect, the rain held off for the majority of the field!
Leading the way in Division 1 was Vice Captain John Baxter carding an impressive 73 (4) 69 to win on BIH holding off Dave Imrie who was cruising to victory at -7 through fourteen to have a poor finish 70 (1) 69!
Division 2 saw Ian Adamson hold off Bruce Anderson comfortably by six, carding 82 (13) 69! Twos were still healthy paying out £11.16, still a great return!

An Extra Medal Round
With this Saturday seeing an empty tee sheet due to “The LCL” the match committee have allowed me to hold a “Pro's Sweep” which will be run using “The Non Courtesy” format, you book your own tee time and find your own playing partners!
Twos and threes only, white tees with sweep and twos as normal, forecast looks good so be sure to get your times booked! |

He’s Back Stewart has now returned from his Tour efforts for the year, from what I can gather a great few days with good company and good golf but a bad putter! I’m sure if your passing he’d be delighted to give you a hole by hole on his rounds at Castle Stuart, Nairn and Dornoch! I’m away from Tuesday for a week so anything needed just pop in and see Stewart, he will be happy to assist.

Winter Programme
As of Monday, the winter programme is in now in progress. As I type we have some solid tinning taking place with some top dressing work due towards the end of next week.
The course has been incredible this year, our weather not what we would have chosen, however, I’d be hard pushed to say I’ve seen the greens any better in my time here at the club.
Members are notorious at all clubs for being over critical and in many cases, many don’t give feedback, positive anyway but I am happy to advise that a member who will remain nameless told me last week that he had played 37 different courses this year and not one was a patch on Lundie! Refreshing to know we are that good, not that I need convincing!

Reciprocal Arrangements
As you are all aware we have some great reciprocal arrangements with Crail, Ladybank, Scotscraig, Blairgowrie, East Renfrewshire, Royal Burgess, Bruntsfield and Prestwick St Nicks. As a gentle reminder please take note that when you visit these properties you MUST take your members swipe card with you as all clubs have been advised that “NO CARD” means “NO GOLF”, well certainly no discount!
