Callaway Cup 2014
As you read my newsletter this week I will have played two of the three rounds in The 2014 Callaway Cup at The Oxfordshire Golf Resort. Singles tomorrow and then hopefully home with a smile on my face which I know a few may find hard to believe!!!
With only two scots managing to qualify for the event this year, I'm going to fly the flag and represent Lundie for Team North! I will endeavour to take some happy snaps on my travels and update you in next week's edition, something to look forward to!!
Fraser on Tour
Fraser is currently away in Dornoch playing in an event and with five birdies in round one, I'm expecting good reports on his return! You'll know how good his finishing position is next week if he gets a mention. If not it will have been a bad day at the office!
Kingsbarns' Supporters Day
Monday last week saw me head up to Kingsbarns for their annual golf day. I had the pleasure of playing with Jack who passes his regards on to everyone, a two man scramble saw us finish on -3 which to be honest is quite respectable considering the weather and the fact we were +1 through the first four!!!
Here you can see a photo from this magnificent course on the day.
Ryder Cup
In a week where independence was knocked on the head, let's hope the European Team can do us proud and unite us all at Gleneagles this week.
The clubhouse will be serving TV dinners between 3pm and 5.30pm for all who want to come down and watch the finale. Get those taxis booked, I have a good feeling we'll all be celebrating!!!
GO TEAM EUROPE!!!!
Golf Course
The course is busy this week due to the influx of visitors for The Ryder Cup so please double check the tee sheet by calling or using the online system before heading down if it's before 3.30pm, I'd hate for anyone to be disappointed.
Weather permitting, Willie and his team will be starting some annual maintenance commencing October 7th. Nothing major but essential works to ensure our course remains in the fantastic condition it has been in all season. Feedback from visitors has been tremendous and with the weather holding its own we still have another few good weeks golf ahead.
