Missing in action...
You may have noticed that both Alistair and I were reported missing last week! The reason for our absence was due to us representing the club at The Scottish Tourism Week held at Fairmont, St Andrews where we had around 50 scheduled appointments to meet with tour operators and businesses that could potentially be future clients! Whilst I hear some of you say “we don’t want any more visitors” this wasn’t why we were there! It can be difficult dealing with overseas operators and some of these appointments allowed us to introduce the club and ourselves on a more personal note, and it did also allow us to forge relationships with potential new customers that we feel would - and could - be beneficial to the club. Lundie has always been that property that has great footfall, however, with a new property scheduled to open on our door step in 2020 it is key for the club as a business to be at these events! The three days comprised of meetings, networking and evening functions ending with a fantastic gala dinner on Thursday evening where The Scottish Tourism Awards were presented. You may recall back in August I included in my newsletter a link to a voting site for various categories some of which I felt we were ready to participate in, these links were also listed on our social media sites.
