150th Medal (Old Course) Saturday saw one of the special medals played over the old links combining both Leven and Lundie and, on looking at the forecast, it was going to be a real challenge; however, the gods turned out to only send us one heavy shower! As always our course had stood up well to the previous night’s thunderstorms and with a wind that picked up and swirled as the day progressed it wasn’t easy. Coming out victor for this one was Barry McGibbon who carded a very respectable 77 (9) 68 to hold off Richie Brown, Hector Robertson and Ewan MacLeod all who carded 69’s! I think you’ll agree that Willie and the boys do a terrific job here and our course was in terrific order! As you may be aware both Stewart and I were playing on Saturday and I’m happy to advise that even with a double at Leven's 18th and also here at Lundie that my 75 was good enough to take the money! Stewart also carded a 75 however a school boy error omitting to sign his card sees the boss take victory! 2’s returned you 14.26 this week, a decent return on your investment.
