It proved to be tough!
Last weekend saw the staging of The Gilchrist Trophy (foursome strokeplay) a tough day on the links and my apologies for the altered draw but with a team not showing up and an early morning cancelation I felt that a six ball wouldn’t go down too well at 8.45! Taking the top spot was Dale Wallace and Scott Briggs with a super nett 73 closely followed by Jim Duff and Kevin Borthwick on 74, scoring was difficult and well done to all who took part.
In order to get a two in the Gilchrist there’s a combination of a crowd pleasing shot to the pin, however, you need trust and faith in your partner to hole the putt and last weekend we saw only four twos, bagging £42.00 per team. This Saturday will be the first medal of the season, so here in the pro shop we wish you the best of luck for the upcoming season!
