Saturday saw our annual foursomes competition, again with stunning weather and a course to die for, the scoring was good too! Winners and last minute entrants David Sandison and Dave McComskie came out winners with an excellent score of 68 closely followed by a 69 courtesy of Derek Murdoch and Brian Grieve. This weekend sees the first round of the Morrison Trophy, a normal counting medal round with round two taking place the following week.
Willie has asked me to bring to your attention that now we are into the milder weather and, with the easterly winds, to note that the irrigation system will sporadically run cycles most mornings, really only applicable to the early morning golfers; however please note the pressure that the water produces can be fairly dangerous should you be standing in the wrong place! Word of warning - if you hear an unusual noise watch out! The course continues to receive compliments from both members and visitors and I'm sure you'll all agree it's looking superb out there, a credit to the boys out on the links.
Stewart is now well into his second week and settling in great, thanks to everyone that's taken the time to pop in and say hello and bear with us as we familiarise him with the procedures and processes of Lundin! Possibly throwing him in at the deep end I may leave him on his own on Saturday! I'm going to try and squeeze in a day off before the schools go back on Monday, I'm not too popular at home having been here every day during the Easter break!
The shop continues to receive new stock almost daily and this week saw a delivery of some superb golf towels, part of my 1868 range as we head towards our 150th, the next batch of Callaway crested clothing arrived and a spring/summer drop of Oscar Jacobson is also in-store with our shoe ranges pretty much up to speed. With promotions on FootJoy and ECCO currently on, why not pop in for a fit and a browse at our ever increasing stock, take advantage of our travel cover hire or generally just come and have a look!
