September Medal

Saturday saw our September Medal take place and with good overhead conditions the scoring was good. Jimmy Davies came out on top in Division One by two shots with an excellent 65, closely followed by three players on 68 (Geoff Thow, Alex Watt & Harry Dalgleish). Also running within the medal last weekend was the Gilchrist Memorial and the Ritchie Veterans - the winners of these two trophies was Geoff Thow and Harry Dalgleish. Division Two was won by Ian Laing (68) closely followed by regular playing partner and friend Gary Gray on 69. Well done to everyone who took part.

Quite a few cancellations at the weekend and three no shows is never good when the morning slots are prime times. Please, if you can, give us a little more notice as whilst we appreciate that on occasions things do crop up it's us here in the pro shop that take the flack for the amount of two balls in the field. This Saturday sees the Autumn Meeting and the forecast looks good!




Fraser's great news

As most of you are aware from last week's newsletter, Fraser was away on Tuesday trying to qualify for the Scottish PGA being held at Gleneagles in October. I'm happy to confirm that after a good day at the office and a score of one-under-par, he finished tied second and strolled into the event. A great effort in what was probably his last competitive round of the year and one we look forward to reporting on when the event takes place.




This week saw us take a delivery of some Autumn/Winter product, some lovely crested lined sweaters and some great long sleeved shirts and sweatshirts in some fantastic colours. Swing by for a look.
