Victory Cup
Saturday's Victory Cup was played in a bogey format and in challenging conditions the scoring was good. Scott Marshall came out on top, closely followed by Dave Imrie and Hector Robertson. More reductions again in handicap for many players, a great testament to both the golfers and our course which remains in tip-top condition!
McDonald Trophy
Where do I start? Thankfully I only have the pleasure of starting duties for this one every three years. One word - shambles! With over 30 cancellations, of which 13 never even had the decency to call and advise, I can safely say this tournament has been the worst to deal with in the eight years I've been here at Lundie.
On a positive note, I can advise that none of these 30+ players were Lundie members so a huge congratulations to all from this end who took part.
New buggy
We took delivery of a new buggy this week. This particular one can be used for disabled golfers as well as able bodied. The swivel seat and electric chair aids the movement and once we've had it round the course to check all the paths and had Willie check it out it will hopefully be available for hire.
Fraser on Tour
A not so good first round last week at West Lothian followed by a good second attempt (one-over-par) saw Fraser fall short and miss the cut on this occasion. He's off again today (Tuesday as I write) to Crieff to try and qualify for The Scottish PGA at Gleneagles later in October, update again next week.
