Silver Medal to be replayed
As many of you know the Silver Medal had to be abandoned on Saturday, this was due to the adverse weather conditions. Balls were moving on the greens and the forecast was for strong winds the rest of the day, with seven groups still to complete their first round. The new dates for the Silver Medal are as follows: The July Monthly medal will be cancelled and the Silver Medal will be played over 36-holes on Saturday, 4 July. The knockout stages will take place on Monday 6th at 5.30pm, Wednesday 8th at 5.30pm and the semi-final on Friday 10th at 5.30pm. Dates for all finals to be confirmed.
Bronze Medal
The wind had died down on Sunday but still proved a tough test with Callum Muir winning with a nett 68 beating Gareth Whelan, Lawrence Whelan and Andrew Carstairs by one shot. The lowest gross score in the Bronze Medal wins the George Liddle Trophy, congratulations to Andrew Carstairs who shot a score of 81 to beat Ewan Macleod on BIH. The top 16 play in the Feathery Matchplay, with eight making it through to tonight and then down to four for Friday's semi-finals.
