Another week, another trophy
One week on from our juniors winning at Kinghorn, our Winter League team win the Champions Event held at Balbirnie Golf Club on Sunday. The team, comprising of Stewart Clunie, Dave Mason, Joe Smith, Stuart Hamilton, Dean Robertson, Phil Curley, Hector Robertson and Andy McKeown, took victory in East Champions versus West on a dry but challenging day. Congratulations to everyone who took part from all here in the pro shop.
Rewind to 1987
Many thanks to member Colin Johnston for sharing this little snap from 1987's prizegiving (above), a few familiar faces, some past captains and a captain to be! Who do you recognise?

Fraser back on tour
Fraser was away again on Monday attempting to qualify for The British Assistants Championship and in trying conditions he got round in +4 getting into a five-man playoff for one spot! First out at 7.30am and having teaching commitments at a local school in the evening, he was unable to wait for the playoff so on this occasion missed out but with the event being held in Coventry in August he's not too disappointed! Just to give you a little insight to what is required of assistants during training - there is a requirement to have a certain amount of scores within four shots of par and this I can happily confirm was Fraser's last required score taking some pressure off as his exams get ever so closer. Great attempt, great news and a wait off his mind!
