Firstly, let me start my first newsletter of 2015 by wishing you all a very happy New Year! I hope those of you who were not fortunate to get down over the festive period for a game get down soon. The course is in fantastic shape as Willie and his team look forward, like us all, to the coming season.
As usual, each January we introduce fairway mats. The mats will be in operation until Captain versus Vice on March 21st, not long really and a great help allowing the fairways a little break pre-season!
Willie and his team have been doing some sterling work over the winter and with some works still due over the coming months he assures me the course will be even better this coming year - for a course which I feel had the best surfaces in Scotland in 2014 is a brave call!!! I'm sure he and his team will do you all proud!
Our January SALE is now in full swing with selected items up to HALF PRICE and with a few left over bargain shoes from as little as £30, it would be rude not to pop your head through the door for a look!!!
I now have a section on my website to advise the club fixtures and whilst it may not list exactly what event is on, it will aid in any forward planning or last minute golf you wish to play. Click here to check out this service - I will be regularly updating this so that you can always see a few months in advance. I will also do my best to input results each week, these will be dependent on when I receive the results from the match committee coinciding with the production of my newsletter.
You may have noticed in a previous newsletter that we now have the new club website up and running and whilst we appreciate there are a few little changes still to be made could I please draw your attention to the Course Status tab at the top of the home page. We will, once advised by the greens staff, update this information each morning and it's a great tool to get an idea of any works, temporary greens or frosty conditions before leaving the house. Again, this is a new service so please bear with me on this as it can only be as good as the information we are supplied here in the shop.
Fraser is currently away on another week's holiday! This boy has more holidays than a school teacher!!! Due to some date changes his week away clashes with something I also have on so you'll all be glad to know that Jack is back for a few days!
Being a winter man of leisure, Jack is going to be helping me out Wednesday to Saturday inclusive so if you've missed him and want to give him a little cuddle swing by for a chat, he'll be here daily 8am to 3pm. I'm sure his selling skills might even help you part with some of that Christmas money still lurking in the wallet!!!
