SUMMER TEAMS
This weekend saw the team of David Thomson, Alistair Thomson, Charlie Slaven and Robert Spalding win the unusual formatted event with a score of 173 (-15, Par of 188).
With only the 7th and 18th requiring all four players to score this year it still caused havoc for some teams, with some very high scores.
Unfortunately in any medal we don't like to see players post an NR, however it is a larger sin in a team event! With two teams not posting a score, I will not mention names!
It's rumoured that Saturday's longest drive winner Gary Wilson had slight issues with his launch angle, however on this occasion it didn't have to be pretty! Just effective!! Well done Gary.
Pete Rodger hit an iron close on the 12th and Scott Dalrymple hit a brilliant iron to a foot on the 14th to both win closest to the pin.
JUNIOR MEDAL
We should congratulate the Juniors as last Wednesday was the worst downpour of rain this year, and with only two Juniors remembering there umbrellas, the others were drookit. However they battled on and a good score of 78 was posted by Stewart Philp (8). Remember Junior Medals are a great way for Juniors that haven't played much to meet other young players and start playing more often, so please encourage your children to put their name down and come to the next Junior Medal.

LAIRD SENIOR AND LAIRD JUNIOR
On Friday, we were pleased to have Martin Laird play with his father. Unfortunately due to my slow thinking process I was unable to get a photo of Martin teeing off on the 1st, however Ron was able to get a snap of him on the 18th green.
For anyone wondering, he missed the putt for birdie.
It is always a pleasure when Tour Players come to play Lundie as it goes to show our course is top notch and a test for even the best players.
CAKE
Many thanks to John Baxter who delivered these beauties on Saturday morning. Unfortunately for Ron, he was away for the weekend and missed out... so I devoured both of them.
SENIORS' CLINIC
On the 7th August at 11am Fraser will be holding a clinic for any player over the age of 55, the cost of the clinic will be £5 and will last 45 minutes.
With limited spaces available it would be advisable to put your name down on the sheet in the clubhouse ASAP.
There will be parts of the game to choose from e.g. Putting, chipping etc. Please mark down which one you would like and it will go down to a majority vote as to which one is worked on.
