Greetings golfers,

Welcome back to the Lundie Pro Shop weekly newsletter. This week we've had some brand new club crested gear arrive in-store, our junior team put in a great showing in the Home Nations Inter-Club Championship, Stewart has some new coaching initiatives coming, and the improvments to the practice facilities are due to take place soon. Enjoy the read!

This week saw the arrival of some superb Club crested Lined sweaters and winter wind tops, in sizes small through extra-large so we’re covered!

We also received some fantastic crested woolly hats, be sure to come and have a browse, we have colours to suit all tastes!

Having finalised a little range of sweaters and shirts, with a slight alteration to our current crest, to celebrate 150 years of Lundin Golf Club, I am happy to announce that we will have some items arriving in early November which will make ideal Christmas gifts, be sure to keep reading my newsletters in the coming weeks to be advised on their delivery.

Junior Team News

I’m happy to advise that team Lundie finished a fantastic second place in “The Junior Team Golf” Home Nations Inter-Club Championship securing a trip to Portugal in March, the team comprising of Stewart Philp, Dean Walsh, Callum Lesson, Jack Lockhart, Andrew Thornton and Ben Young gave a sterling performance to be pipped to the winners post by the New Club, St Andrews at Deer Pak, Livingstone on the Sunday just past.

I’m sure you’ll all join me in wishing them well.

Competition roundup

Albeit a last minute event this past Saturday, the numbers were a little disappointing, only fourteen entrants on a great day for scoring with very little wind!

Paul Clark came out victorious with 80 (13) 67 winning by one from Paul Baker and Stephen Allison. A quiet course was strange for us here at Lundie, let’s hope we get back on track with this week’s medal finals leading into the eclectic due to start on Saturday 4th November.

Coffee Class?

As of the first Thursday in November (2nd) Stewart will be starting a morning “Coffee Class”, 
What’s a coffee class I here you ask!?

Stewart is offering one hours golf tuition from 10am followed by coffee/tea and biscuits in the clubhouse, finer details on the required numbers and exact format can be had by speaking to Stewart, numbers will be limited so please be sure to enquire.

As well as the above Stewart is offering a special on two half hour lessons for the remainder of the month at £40, be sure to book your appointment by clicking the button below to avoid disappointment!

Practice facility/range improvements

As some of you may be aware, we will as of Monday the 23rd of October be doing some upgrade work to the facility, contrary to some rumours flying around these works are upgrades and essential maintenance to ensure we provide the first class service and product expected, not only by our members, but by visitors alike.

For those of you who do use the range, you will be aware that the surface is very poor and looks very unsightly on arriving at the club, not only will these improvements make your practice more enjoyable, but it will add to the first impressions of Lundin Golf Club as the range is the first thing you see as you turn the corner!

During these works please be aware that there may be days when limited usage will be possible, the works are not expected to take long and once complete we will all benefit from the superb upgrade being done.
