Welcome back,

As always we aim to keep you involved with the activities going on at Lundie this past week, we have the results from last week’s Victory Cup (Bogey Comp), an update of the golf course condition and the latest Pro Shop promotions and golfing essentials.

Sky Sports visits Lundie

We recently enjoyed a visit from Anna Whitely from Golfing World programme aired weekly on Sky Sports. She spoke with Captain Ballingall and walked a couple of holes of the course whilst filming for the programme. The feature, filmed at the time of the Ricoh Women’s Open at Kingsbarns, also includes visits to Crail, Ladybank, Scotscraig and Lundin Ladies Golf Clubs.

IMG have been in touch to say the Golfing World feature will be aired on the Sky Sports Golf channel on Tuesday 3rd October and will be repeated throughout that week. It will also be aired on the Golf Channel US on the same date, before it is distributed to the remaining international broadcast channels around the world later in the week. It will also be uploaded to the Golfing World YouTube and social media channels.

According to the Fife Golf Partnership, the quality/friendly/accessible message we work hard to promote to visitors comes across perfectly in the coverage.

Victory Cup

Last weekend’s competition was the Victory Cup, Bogey format (Match play against the course). The winner, with a score of 5up on the course, was Alex Watt with a fantastic 73 - (8) nett 65, closely followed by Brian Craig and Ian Kerr both tied on 4up.

The two’s and sweeps were well shared this week with 18 two’s overall, 13 of them coming on the 5th Hole, it has been requested to Willie that the pin is placed in a more challenging position next weekend!

Course Condition

As always we are being teased with some glimmers of sunshine and over the course of this week the forecast looks to be changing. As the course surfaces are getting softer, could I please remind you to be aware and repair any pitch marks on the greens.

Another reminder that Seeding and Coring is scheduled for the 2nd, 3rd and 4th of October so please bear with us over the course of that week.
