Greetings golfers,

Welcome to the latest edition of the weekly Lundin Pro Shop newsletter. As you can see, everything is a little different this week as we have a new template. We hope you enjoy the new template and newsletter.

Silver Medal

Saturday saw the start of Club Championship week and with the 36 hole qualifier for all nine and under golfers the scoring was good, even in challenging conditions!

On a mild yet windy day the winner of The Silver Medal for 2017 with scores of 71/71 = 142 was hardened campaigner Grant McNab, closely followed by Stewart Whiteford on 143 and Mark Anderson on 144.
The top sixteen moved on to this week’s match play ties and, as I type, round one has been played with some very competitive matches!

A report on Sunday’s finals day will be in next week’s newsletter and I’m sure you’ll join me in wishing all the competitors well.

Bronze Medal

Sunday was the turn of all the ten and overs and, with a damp tough day, left hooker Andrew Russell wiped the floor with the rest of the field with a stunning 75 (11) 64 to win by five from Glyn Richards on 69. Match play ties commence this evening (Tuesday) and again a report on how the week goes will follow.

Shirt Amnesty

This week’s focus in the shop is on our super Shirt Amnesty, details of which can be found by clicking here. With a terrific selection of shirts in-store it’s a great opportunity to pick up a bargain and save a little cash!

A Bit Of History

Sunday saw a little history here at the club with our first ever female member playing in the Bronze Medal Qualifier, well done to Lucy Renton who competed, also playing from the white tees, on Sunday having a round very much of two halves!! It’s always great to record monumental moments and Lucy’s potential is right up there with the best!
