NEW YARDAGE MARKERS
Our new yardage markers are now in use. Our old white posts marking 150 yards to the centre have now been replaced with these bespoke items all measuring to the MIDDLE of the green.
Keep your eyes peeled for these, no excuses for slow play now!!!
Saturday saw the playing of our Silver Medal club championship qualifier. For the second year in a row our current club champion Grant McNab deservedly won with fantastic sores of 72 and 74 to win by two from Stewart Whiteford on 148.
On a day when the morning rounds were all completed in dry but windy weather the scoring became more difficult in the afternoon rounds with heavy rain. The matchplay rounds take place this week with the final taking place on Sunday at 4pm where everyone is welcome to spectate. Some very good pairings for the matchplay rounds this week, good luck to all involved. You can see the Gold Medal draw by clicking here.
Sunday saw The Feathery played over 18 holes with Steve Grist winning the low nett with a 68 and Harry Dalgleish winning The George Liddell Trophy for best scratch with a score of 81. Some great ties to look out for over the next few days can be seen here.
Always on Silver Medal day you all make such an effort with your golf attire. A few weeks ago we had our past captain bless us with the pleasure of a long awaited outfit, this week Keith Stuart our past match convener dawned us with this bute!! His excuse was he's moving house and all his normal golfing outfits were all packed in boxes!!! Likely story!!
