This week sees the last few days of Frasers time with us here at Lundie, with only a matter of days left he heads off to pastures new and Sunday will see him complete his last day with us here at the club.
It's been a quick three years and I'm sure you'll agree that Fraser will not only be a huge loss to me in the shop but also to the club as a great ambassador!
I'm sure you'll all join me in wishing him well with his new venture at Kingsbarns Golf Links where he takes up his new position in early March, I'm sure he'll not be too far away and will no doubt be in to keep us updated on his progress.
Who Can Say No To A Free Grip?
It is the time of the year for a little MOT on your clubs, and to help, I am offering to re-grip your 7 iron for FREE.
Pop into the shop and we will advise you on the correct grip and size that would benefit you the most. You will certainly see a difference if you haven't re-gripped your clubs for a while.
Click here for more info on why you should be re-gripping.
Many thanks to everyone who came in over the weekend for some exceptionally cheap pre-season specials, a heart breaking weekend giving product away at half price but with our new stock imminent it had to be done!!! Still a few bargains left so feel free to pop by.
Matchplays
As a heads up for all you matchplay entrants out there the club matchplays are now available via the PSI screen located outside the locker room, be sure to get your name/names down if you fancy a challenge!!
Captain Vs Vice
With our season opener now only a matter of weeks away (March 18th) the entry list is now posted on the members notice board, it is a shotgun start so be sure to check your availability!
Saturday Eclectic
Saturday saw a great day here on the links and winning this week was JamesWhite shooting a mighty impressive nine under par from a handicap of +2 for 43 points beating Duncan Weir and Gordon Laing by one!
The leaders were still right up there and with only two weeks to go now things are very close at the top with JoeSmith currently in the lead by one! Good luck to all those competing as the competition nears the finish.
Aiming for a younger demographic
The European Tour have introduced some innovative ideas for the season ahead. The World Super 6 combined 54 holes of stroke play with a final-day knockout, whilst GolfSixes, which takes place later in the year, sees two-man teams battle it out over six holes in a group stage, before progressing to a final-day knockout.
I hope you enjoyed this week's newsletter. As always, if you have anything that you'd like to contribute please speak to one of the pro shop team. I'll see you at the club over the coming days.
