This Saturday sees my annual Pro's Day take place with a full tee-sheet (2 individual spots due to cancellations) and a good forecast. I'm sure all who have entered will have an enjoyable round with some great prizes on offer. Thanks in advance go to all who have entered and good luck.
Last Friday saw Captain Ballingall and myself head to Haggs Castle for the Captain Pro Challenge. With a 6am start we beat the traffic but unfortunately we didn't beat the weather. Heavy rain and wind from hole 1 to 18 didn't make it easy. We played well but just didn't gel well enough and a 74 saw us fall a good few shots shy of the prizes. The course was in great condition, a little wet but lightning greens and definitely worth a visit - my only advice is take plenty of balls!
Fraser is playing some tournament golf from Monday, an update on his days at West Lothian will hopefully be in next week's newsletter (score permitting).
With the sun still shining there's still plenty to pick and choose from in the shop. Fraser has been tasked with updating the website more regularly with items to browse, follow the links below if you fancy a look...

In challenging conditions last Saturday, the scoring was good in the Cox Trophy. Danny Stalker carded a tremendous 72 (8) which saw him win by three from Matthew Miller 67 (0) and again reducing his handicap from 8 to 6.5! For the second week running we saw a mountain of two balls; such a shame when the course is fantastic and the weather - albeit windy - was good. With 19 NRs, maybe it's time for a little swing check? Fraser and I are here to help where possible so please feel free to come and discuss!
