This week we have launched our new website and email newsletter. My team and I hope you like it. This new website and email is fully responsive in design. Irrespective of what digital device you are using the content will adjust accordingly, giving a perfect display every time. This will allow you to read our weekly words of wisdom from the comfort of, for example your sofa, office or even a train.
We would love you to explore my website and investigate the tips and drills, product catalogue and interact with any features we have on the website.
Our aim is to provide you with weekly relevant golfing related content. From product reviews to coaching tips, we want to explain how my experience and skills as a PGA professional can help you get the most out of your game and ensure you make the right choices when buying golf equipment. Finally, and of course most importantly, we want to keep you up-to-date with what is happening here at our golf course.
In this first week we have a couple of great articles, one of which gives you the chance to WIN a dozen golf balls. Tell us what your key personal priorities are when you are looking at buying golf equipment; Is it Brand, Price or Fit? Take a look at the article below and enter the survey.
We look forward to any feedback you may have so click here to tell us what you think about our new email and website.
Our Spring Meeting took place on the 26th April and was our qualifier for The Lombard Trophy at Ladybank Golf Club on 10th June.
Jeff Swan (pictured here with me) was our winner and has the pleasure of partnering me for four and a half hours of torture!!
We aim high here in the pro shop and are looking for two spaces higher this year after finishing third in 2013 with partner Steven Allison.
The May Medal took place on Saturday with some great golf being played. In Division One, Derek Murdoch took top spot with a nett 68, closely followed by Andrew Killean in second and Bill Grant in third, both with nett 69's. Dean Robertson came out on top in Division Two with a nett 68, followed by Gareth Whelan in second and David Foster in third, both with 69's.
Congratulations to everyone mentioned above!
James White, our latest member to hit the heights on tour, is in France this week in his third event on The Alps Tour. You can track his progress here. A great finish on a tough school to stardom.
Thursday the 1st of May saw me TRY to qualify for The Glenmuir British PGA Championship @ Blargowrie. Fair conditions and a fantastic course saw me hit the ball tee to green without fail, but on the putting surface things however were a little off! 39 putts for a +5 total saw me slump to 30th place with the top 19 qualifying on +3.
This week's job is to fix the putting!! With a comprehensive selection in store (pictured below), and support from Fraser, I'm sure I'll be on the mend for my next event in a couple of weeks time.
This goes to show that us pros also have difficulties on the putting surface from time to time. If you are having similiar trouble on the greens then why not book a lesson with us at Lundin GC? You can click here to contact us for more information.
Fraser and myself have been playing a little golf after work over the last few weeks so anyone at a loose end or looking for a relaxed nine holes later in the day get in touch. It is always nice to see new faces and have a little competitive practice.
We have clothing ranges due this month from Galvin Green, Cross and Glenmuir. The shop is filling up so please pop by for a browse.
Lambswool club sweaters are now in store with options in V neck (pictured here) and zip neck with our new improved smaller crest, a selection of colours and sizes are available.
