Winter League double victory
Sunday saw the scratch league team take on Crail in a home fixture, comfortably winning by three games to one. While home soil proved successful, our handicap team crushed Ladybank four nil away making Team Lundie top of the tree on Sunday.
Winter Eclectic
The eclectic continues to run and after some trying weather over the week we managed to get back to full greens on Friday. Jim Gay came out on top in Saturday's event with a terrific 42 points, closely followed by Sean Brown and Jim Gourdie on 40 points. Fraser, from here in the shop, increased his score considerably this week to leap frog in to second place with seven birdies on Saturday and as always looks super tight at the top. You all better try harder as we'll never here the end of it if he comes out as winner!
Dog walkers
As many of you know, we did have an incident towards the end of last year where unfortunately a walker was hit with a golf ball from the first tee and with this in mind we ask everyone to take a little extra care when out on the links.
Common sense doesn't always prevail and we do have some very stupid and inconsiderate people (pedestrians) in the world that believe the golf course to be some kind of dog walking park! Some more signage has been erected to remind all of the dangers and Willie and his team continue to spend time that could be better utilised on golfing matters making areas of the course safer. So be sure to keep your eyes peeled and vocal cords fresh for those people that lack a little bit upstairs!
The course continues to look fantastic and even as we approach the end of January and the states get bombarded with snow, we must count ourselves lucky for such great views and conditions sometimes.
Shop
Again we remind everyone that we still have some super bargains in store and a great coffee machine if you're bored! Quiet times on the course has a knock on effect so feel free to pop in and say hi as Fraser and myself are here as always!
